It’s not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.
What can I live without? Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. My goal is to fit everything I own into a backpack. In order to do this, I have decided to make a running list of all my stuff. Whatever I end up not needing, I’ll use up and let drop off the list. It will not only allow me to test the real wear and tear of things, but will also serve as a kind of buffer to keep my more consumerist minded tendencies in check. Less is often more. How long can I go without buying anything new?
